Acorn School

Acorn School (A new Private School to Biggleswade) is situated within a purpose built educational establishment 'Toybox Day Nursery' in Kingsfield Road, Biggleswade.

With the introduction of the Acorns Class, Acorn School will occupy its own area within the existing Nursery. This will give it the benefit of being separated from the smaller children, whilst being accessible to all staff, parents and younger children who will go on visits to 'big school'.

The School will develop new classrooms as the 'Acorns' move up through the School.

The School will open for the Acorns class at 9.00am, existing children within the nursery will be moved through by the 3-5's staff ready to start their day at 9.30am. The morning session will end at 12.00pm. The nursery children will then rejoin 3-5's for lunch. The afternoon class will start at 1.00pm and finish at 3.30pm with again existing children being moved through to class.

The Nursery hours remain as 8.00am - 6.00pm with the option of an extra hour each end of these standard times. This means that the 'Acorns Class' can still have the complete wrap around care from 7.00am to 7.00pm as now if required.
'The Loft' will be used for the Acorns classroom & assembly room, which will double as a gymnasium according to the timetable. The school has a large enclosed garden, giving the children ample space to play and enjoy other outdoor activities, such as gardening.
